Brief: To assist the owner with the interior finishes, fixtures, fittings and layouts to his new build home.

A new build home is always a deeply personal and often arduous process. This one was no exception and had the added challenge that the owner was an engineer by trade and a stickler for detail, ergonomics and function. Fortunately, he also had vision and the patience to see it through and understood the value of taking time to get things right. Clean and contemporary bathrooms, an old/new kitchen and much use of wood and stone were juxtaposed with softer older furnishings to echo and frame the more traditional 'baby baronial' style of the build. As they say, the devil is in the detail - but this time, we think we saw him off............
