‘anti-homogenous, spirited design that nonetheless puts comfort before exhibitionism’
Brief: - To quote the owner's
'it needs to be Hurst House Wales on steroids!'.
We took this rather inspirational instruction at face value and decided that it required that we take the glamour and luxury of HH Wales, then urbanise and amplify it to the max. 6 storeys and one roof terrace of prime central Soho building to be turned into a bistro restaurant, 48 bedroom hotel, basement performance space and bar, roof top bar. Again we worked with the dual challenges of mixed new build and listed building regulations combined in the one project.
